πŸ₯©πŸž Meatloaf

This is my version of a classic meatloaf with a sweet, sticky glaze.

Prep

Cook
1 hour

Ingredients

  • 450 grams (1 lb.) Ground Beef
  • 450 grams (1 lb.) Ground Pork
  • 2 Eggs
  • 70g (1 Cup) Breadcrumbs
  • 40g (ΒΌ Cup) Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 2 Teaspoons Onion Powder
  • 10g Salt
  • 5 grams Black Pepper
  • For the sauce
  • Ketchup
  • Brown Sugar
  • Worchestershire Sauce

Method

For the glaze

  1. Mix the Ketchup, Brown Sugar, and Worchestershire Sauce together in a bowl
  2. Set aside until ready to glaze the meatloaf

For the meatloaf

  1. Combine the remaining ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix thoroughly to combine.
  2. Try not to overwork the mixture, you want to end up with a tender meatloaf, not sausage.
  3. Form into a loaf shape and place on a parchment-lined sheet pan.
  4. Bake in a 375Β° oven for 30 minutes.
  5. After 30 minutes, take out the meatloaf and brush the the first round of glaze onto the meatloaf.
  6. Repeat this glazing process every 5–10 minutes until the meatloaf reaches and internal temp of 165Β°

Notes

Serve the meatloaf with your favorite mashed potatoes. I like to also serve some steamed broccoli/brocolini along with the mashed potatoes.
